We Specialize in Threading Machinery

About Us

Rebuilders Unlimited, Inc. was formed in May of 1990. The company's president, Kenneth E. Lemmon, Jr. got the idea to start the company while doing free lance service work for Teledyne Landis Machine Company. At that time, Teledyne Landis was the world's largest producer of thread generating equipment. While Visiting and doing work such as troubleshooting, general maintenance and repair and operator training at the many companies that Landis served, the customers often suggested to Ken that there was need for rebuilding of their machinery.

After hearing this suggestion many times Ken decided it would be a good idea to start a company to service, rebuild and supply repair parts for Landis threaders. Finally, in early 1990, after many hours of discussion, Ken and Jeff Masters, (another former employee of Teledyne Landis) decided the time was right to start the company. Jeff was driving a semi truck at the time and had been driving since 1983 after being laid off at Landis due to a major slowdown in work.

Ken and Jeff rented a small shop about the size of a three-car garage in Greencastle, Pennsylvania and began rebuilding Landis Machines. Business seemed to take off immediately. By November 1990, they moved the business to the building formerly occupied by Null Machine Shop in Wayne Heights. They conducted business out of that building until October 1996. Then they moved the operation to its current location on Anthony Highway.

Rebuilders Unlimited, like most new companies, started out employing the owners and one other person. Over the twenty years they have been in business, they have added two to three employees per year to get to their current level of 20 full-time employees and four part-time employees as of January 7th 2010.

As our company moves forward, our goal is to continue providing quality parts, service, and Machine Rebuilds.  We will also continue to build New R-U-Matic and Double End Threading Machines, and to add additional models of New machinery as demand requires.  We will continue to make our products as good as they possibly can be and to use all technological advances available to help our customers produce better quality products and higher production quantities.
